You are invited to take part in a research study conducted by Eve Lansford, a high school student in New York participating in a science research program, and Nigel Newbutt, Assistant Professor of Advanced Learning Technologies and Director of the Equitable Learning Technology Lab (ELTL) in the Institute for Advanced Learning Technologies. This study aims to explore the differences in perspectives between parents and autistic adolescents regarding their experiences of preparing for and beginning college. If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a brief survey about how you or your child perceives the process of starting college. We hope the findings from this study will contribute to improving support and accommodations for autistic students entering higher education. All responses will remain anonymous, and no identifiable information will be collected.
If there is anything about the study or your participation that is unclear or that you do not understand, or if you have any questions or wish to report a research-related problem, you may contact Eve Lansford at [email protected] or Nigel Newbutt Ph.D. at [email protected].
