Early Intervention Lunch and Learns Series: Tucker Turtle Takes Time to Tuck and Think at Home

A Family-Centered Early Intervention Lunch & Learns with TNSTEP and TEIS.

We are excited to kick off a new year of Lunch and Learns! Join us January 22nd from 11:30 am- 12:30 pm CST for, Tucker Turtle Takes Time to Tuck and Think at Home, as we continue our partnership with TEIS. Attendees with learn how to utilize “Tucker the Turtle” by providing a scripted story to teach young children how to calm down when they have strong feelings. Strategies such as “tucking into their shell” and “taking deep breaths” will be explored. The story also includes visuals to help children learn how to use each strategy.

Carolyn Bass, IMH-E® Early Childhood Program Manager, Shelby & West TN

Carolyn has a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Early Childhood Education, that began in 2002. She has served in various roles with Head Start and Early Head Start Programs in West TN, as well as DCS in KY. Carolyn’s passion is advocating for children and educating parents and teachers in challenging situations. Carolyn enjoys seeing families learn new tools to help them become stronger, loving families. She lives in Memphis, TN with her daughter and 3 grand- doggies.
