In these unprecedented times caused by COVID19, education technology has been called upon to play a central role to facilitate remote teaching and learning for children and students with or at risk for disabilities in the U.S. and around the world.

The Special Education Innovation Network is a newly formed national group of special education software and assistive technology developers, researchers, and nonprofits. Each member of this network developed a research-based tool with the support of programs at the US Department of Education, National Science Foundation, and National Institutes of Health. All of the tools are “ready now” for remote teaching and learning and are presented in this guide.

Teachers, parents, administrators, and stakeholders in the field of special education! Join us for a free webinar on October 28 from 1 PM to 2 PM for conversations about innovation by special education practitioners and experts, and for demos of six different forms of assistive and learning technologies.

In this new normal, this event will highlight what is working now and what we need more of to support remote teaching and learning for children and students with or at risk for disabilities during the new normal in education.
