- Instructor: Lisa Gosnell
This first session provides an overview of the Individualized Education Account (IEA) Program, including a definition of the program, data on enrollment, eligibility requirements, approved uses of funds, and how to apply for the 2024-25 school year. Q&A from attendees following the presentation.
Presenter:
Phara Williams is the director of Tennessee’s IEA Program. Before she began working with the Individualized Education Accounts Program two years ago, she had been with the Tennessee Department of Education for 11 years. That time was focused on early childhood special education and assisting local school districts to serve their youngest learners. Phara has experience as a classroom teacher, a building-level administrator, and a district supervisor. Her favorite part of her job is speaking one-on-one with families in the program or potential IEA families.
Session 2: Serving Students with Disabilities in Non-Public Schools is scheduled for March 5, 2024.
