This webinar session provided an overview of the new TNReady assessment system with a focus on accessibility and accommodations. Reviewed the accessibility features available for all students, accessibility features that need to be identified in advance and the process required, as well as accommodations for students with a disability. The session also covered how to determine the level of support needed to increase access to the assessment. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive links to additional resources.
Presenter:
Lori Nixon is the Director of Assessment Design for Special Populations with the Tennessee Department of Education. She is a former Special Education Supervisor and has experience as a special education teacher in both private and residential settings in Tennessee. Lori has a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a focus on Autism and Emotional Disturbance from Auburn University and an Administrative Endorsement from Trevecca Nazarene University.
