The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) launched the website for their new 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. The site provides key information on the background and purpose of the 988 dialing code, which will officially go live nationwide on July 16, 2022. Resources and information on the page are designed for states, territories, Tribes, mental health and substance use disorder professionals, and others looking for information on strengthening suicide prevention and mental health crisis services.
